Field Workers Without Phones Can Still Be Tracked
Tools Tracker lets a foreman create a worker without a phone number, so tool handovers can be recorded even when not every worker has an account.
Real jobsite workflows are not always built around personal smartphones. Some workers do not have a phone on site, some do not want to install apps, and some teams prefer that the foreman controls the whole handover process.
Tools Tracker now supports this reality with field workers. A namespace administrator can create a worker with only a required first name and an optional last name. No phone number, email, or password is needed.
The worker appears in the workspace like the rest of the team, and the foreman can record tool handovers from their own device. This keeps responsibility visible without forcing every worker through registration.
Later, if the worker gets a phone or needs direct access, the profile can become part of a fuller login flow. The important first step is simpler: create the worker, scan the tool, and keep the inventory accurate.
